Child Space Organization advocates for all Children’s Rights by consistently delivering Child Protection and Safeguarding services through innovative, direct and meaningful engagements with the children and stakeholders from the grassroots to the national level.
We work closely with Children, Youth, Parents/guardians, teachers and other institutions with an aim of empowering them with value-based Behaviour Change Process trainings, vital Life Skills and nurturing talents as a sustainable tool to curb Violence Against Children (VAC) and all other social vices.
Child Space Organization was legally registered in Kenya with the Department of Social Development office as a Community Based Organization (CBO) in 2018, under the Ministry of East Africa Community, Labour and Social Protection.
Formation of Child Space Organization was propelled by the dire need to intervene and support the children, Youth, Parents, Teachers and the community at large, when various reports emerged that many young girls especially school going ages "Teenagers" were blindly engaging in several risky behaviours that exposed them to early pregnancies which they happened to fear the most however, they were not afraid of diseases such as HIV&AIDS/STIs

for Prevention of HIV/AIDS, Drugs and Substance Abuse and Multiple Social Vices in a given society. The application of Skills-Based Health Education, in particular life skills, to areas such as Teenage pregnancy, HIV/AIDS prevention, Reproductive Health, Gender Based Violence, Drugs and Substance Abuse is becoming increasingly widespread. In areas such as these, individual behavior, social and peer pressure, cultural norms and abusive relationships may all contribute to the health and lifestyle problems of children and adolescents. There is now increasing evidence that in tackling these issues and health problems, a Skills Based approach to Health Education works, and is more effective than teaching knowledge alone.
Definition: In practice, Safeguarding is the policies and practices that schools and governing bodies employ to keep children safe and promote their well-being. While Child Protection is a term used to describe the activity that is undertaken to protect specific children who are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm.
